We currently tutor students from Year 3 through to Year 12, covering all stages of English, from building strong foundations to VCE preparation.

Most lessons are held online via Zoom, with lesson material and homework shared in a Google Drive folder. We also offer limited face-to-face tutoring in select suburbs, depending on your tutor's location and availability. Please contact us to see whether face-to-face can be arranged.

We ask for a general commitment of at least 1 hour per week to maintain consistency. We recommend a weekly 1.5-hour lesson — this gives us enough time to review previous work and cover new material deeply.

We use a range of different materials aligned with the Victorian curriculum — from textbooks and workbooks, to books, films, poems, songs, articles, and speeches. We also discuss and write about real current and historical events.

Yes. Weekly homework is given to build on what is focused on in class, shared through the mutual Google Drive folder.

Yes, for self-formed groups. For general lessons, students should be in the same year level. For specific exam or assessment preparation, students should be in the same school and year level so that the content is directly relevant for everyone.

Fill out the contact form on our Contact Us page with your child's year level and English progress, and we'll arrange a call or trial lesson. In the session, we get to know your child's English and walk through our teaching approach. Afterwards, we'll call you to discuss where they're at and what to focus on next.

Every trial lesson is taught by one of our head tutors — all highly experienced, and the ones who train the rest of our team. It lets us match each student with the tutor best suited to their level and goals.

No lock-in. We offer discounted 10-week blocks for students who'd like to commit, but there's no obligation. You're welcome to go lesson by lesson.

Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we'll find another time that week. The earlier you let us know, the more we can make of our tutors' time!

Absolutely. Low confidence usually stems from specific gaps or habits that have built up over time — so we find those weaknesses and work on them.

Definitely. For students who are ahead, we go beyond the Victorian curriculum by introducing more challenging discussions, texts and literature.

With ongoing lessons, lesson summaries are sent within 24 hours of each lesson. We keep an open line of communication with parents throughout.
